Introducing Kenley new staff writer
It was just over two years ago it has been that I started as an Assistant Director of Admission at USC. Wow, what a journey! I work with pupils from a variety of areas: Utah, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Kansas City, and parts of Orange County and San Diego (phew!). I have bright hair that is red as well as the fiery personality to match, and so I am always full of energy and up for any adventure. I love to travel, explore the out-of-doors, bake anything with chocolate (lots of it!), and you can always find me dancing if you have a tune that is upbeat. I’m delighted to be joining the blogging team and can not wait to share a number of my insights and knowledge about the admission process and college life.
I grew up in Utah and lived into the many stunning hills in the globe. I spent quite a little bit of time checking out them, but got sick and tired of the winters that are lengthy which is why I was eager to attend school in sunny Southern Ca. I attended Claremont McKenna College where I learned International Relations and Psychology.
I loved my college experience. I really enjoyed it, which explains why I enjoy employed in advanced schooling, specifically assisting students find an institution that’s a fit that is good. It’s very easy to talk to prospective students about USC because it is this kind of great destination to live and learn. I have always been lucky to get results on such a dynamic, energy-filled campus. Our students are thinkers, scholastic options are plentiful, and we have been located in a community that is urban one of the greatest urban centers in the world. I can’t wait to share more about the USC experience and also the admission process in my own posts in the future casinopokies777.com!
Dining Table For Just One
‘ Our suitcases that are battered piled on the sidewalk again; we had much longer techniques to go. But no matter, the road is life.’ Jack Kerouac
Currently, i’m writing this blog sitting inside a Peet’s Coffee in Northern California. Table for one, headphones in ears, answering emails and signing down notes about my highschool visits from earlier today. For the a few weeks and a half, I will be living in hotel spaces and having meals without any help. Usually, there is time and energy to explore the cities I visit to ensure that’s nice. But most for the time, the road can be tiring so I invest nearly all of my time resting whenever you can. It is very an easy task to get sick on the road!
For around 8 weeks of the 12 months, several thousand admission representatives throughout the country live this lifestyle. From the outside perspective, it seems really glamorous. In many ways, it is a extremely job that is fun. Its truly rewarding to be able to aid pupils in one of the most transitional phases in their lives. It’s also nice having the ability to be out of the office. However, this element of the task can be isolating as well. It generates me appreciate my buddies, family and wife back in the home even more.
Still, our mission is what is on the forefront. USC visits over 2,000 schools per year; we go to the most high schools out of any university in the nation. Our company is out here in search of students that may make-up the next class that is incoming of at USC. It is our goal to put together an exceptionally diverse class every year so we wish to meet all types of students. I am honored to do my tiny part in this process. It brings me personally a feeling of fulfillment to the office for the university that aligns with my vision that is own for.

It’s a big life decision so that it’s important become well informed. Like we are in a hurry in between visits, it’s probably because we are if we seem.
